GABORONE - The Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) has launched its website www.bnsc.co.bw and its magazine referred to as Scoreboard. Speaking during the launch, the BNSC vice chairperson, Dr Nomsa Mbere explained that the launch of these two initiatives is intended for communication is yet another milestone marking the development of the council for the purpose of assisting its affiliates members and custodians countrywide. She said Botswana like any other country has permeated a world of technology which is characterised by the use of the Internet, websites and facebook which are new aspects of the electronic media.

Dr Mbere said the website would keep the affiliates abreast with the operations of the council by easily accessing any information concerning the council. She called on the affiliates to utilise the two initiatives of communication and to place advertisements in the magazine. In a vote of thanks, the Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Mr Kitso Kemoen called on the media to critique the website for improvement sake. Mr Kemoen noted that the information available from the website will go on to improve communication between the BNSC and the media. Mr Mohammad Ismail of Weblogic, the company that created the website walked the audience through the website production schedule.
