| Cost of Funds measures the average rate paid by a bank for all the liabilities held by the bank on which interest has been paid. It is calculated as:- Interest Expense / Average Interest Bearing Liabilities Average Interest Bearing Liabilities is the arithmetic average of the opening and closing Interest Bearing Liabilities. Interest Bearing Liabilities = Customer Deposits + Inter bank Deposits + Bonds + Leases + Subordinated Debt + Other Loans |
