Net Interest Margin
Net Interest Margin measures the difference between interest income and interest expenses, divided by average interest earning assets. It provides an indication of the profitability of a bank's investments.

It is calculated as:-

(Interest Income - Interest Expense) / Average Interest Generating Assets

Average Interest Generating Assets is the arithmetic average of opening and closing balances for interest generating assets.

Interest Generating Assets = Cash + Treasury Bills + Short Term Investments + Long Term Investments + Customer Loans + Inter Bank Loans + Other Loans)
