ABRI is a provider of high quality business information and independent research about African economies, equity markets and listed companies. We collect data on African economies, industries and companies; publish business research reports, which provide in-depth value-adding, analysis on African markets. Our staff comprises leading academics (who have extensive experience in teaching and research in all aspects of corporate finance and business management) and practitioners who have a long association with Africa and deep understanding of the markets and economies in the continent. At different stages in their careers most members of staff have been involved in providing research coverage and marketing of African equities. Over time we have established deep contacts with African corporates and international investors active in the region. The knowledge base we have built up over many years of calling on African companies, speaking at conferences and interacting with senior executives, politicians and decision makers, gives us a unique insight into Africa. We have already collected a large database, which is probably one of the most comprehensive datasets available on African companies and economies. We now have a database going back in some cases for over 20 years, on every company listed on every stock exchange in Africa. This is a database of over 6,000 securities covering 19 countries, detailing daily closing share price, traded volume, corporate action, daily news items etc. We also publish business research reports that are comprehensive survey of a specific industry or sector providing data on trends in market size, profitability, regulation, new developments, key challenges, future opportunities, main players in each country etc. We have a market intelligence service that provides adhoc research to clients tailored to their specific needs.
